Warranty
WARRANTY POLICY
Sailvvay UK provides a limited warranty on selected products purchased directly from us. This Warranty Policy sets out what is covered, what is excluded, and how warranty claims are handled.
This warranty is offered in addition to your statutory rights under applicable law. Nothing in this Warranty Policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection law.
1. Warranty Period
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- Bait boats, remotes, bite alarms, and other electronic products sold by Sailvvay UK are covered by a 24 month limited warranty from the date of delivery.
- Lithium batteries are covered by a 12 month limited warranty from the date of delivery.
This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Sailvvay UK and only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
This warranty is non-transferable and does not apply to second-hand purchases, gifts sold on, or products bought through unauthorised sellers unless required by law.
2. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal intended domestic use during the applicable warranty period.
Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, Sailvvay UK may, at its discretion:
- repair the product
- replace the product
- replace the faulty part or component
- provide a refurbished equivalent
- provide a refund or partial refund where repair or replacement is not appropriate
Any repair, replacement, or refund under this warranty is at Sailvvay UK’s discretion, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
If only one part or component is faulty, this warranty covers that faulty part or component only and does not automatically entitle the customer to replacement of the full product.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear
- cosmetic damage, including scratches, scuffs, marks, fading, or other appearance-related issues that do not affect function
- accidental damage
- crash damage, impact damage, drop damage, or physical abuse
- water ingress or moisture damage caused by misuse, negligence, poor sealing, incorrect assembly, damage, or customer interference

- faults caused by incorrect setup, incorrect calibration, incorrect pairing, user error, or failure to follow instructions
- faults caused by use with non-approved accessories, chargers, batteries, spare parts, or components
- faults caused by unauthorised repair, attempted repair, modification, alteration, dismantling, or tampering

- commercial use, hire use, rental use, competition use, demonstration fleets, or other abnormal use
- consumable or wear items, unless they are proven to have a manufacturing defect on delivery
- loss of use, loss of fishing time, loss of bait, loss of catch, inconvenience, or any indirect or consequential loss
For lithium batteries, this warranty also does not cover:
- normal reduction in performance or capacity over time
- overcharging
- over-discharging
- deep discharge
- improper charging practices
- use with non-approved chargers
- damage caused by improper storage
- swelling, puncture, crushing, impact damage, or water damage unless caused by a proven manufacturing defect
4. Approved Parts and Chargers
To remain eligible for warranty cover, customers must use approved chargers, batteries, spare parts, and accessories where specified by Sailvvay UK.
Any fault or damage caused by the use of non-approved chargers, parts, or accessories is excluded from this warranty.
5. Spare Parts
Spare parts supplied by Sailvvay UK may be covered only where a manufacturing defect is present. This warranty does not cover normal wear items or damage caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, or use with incompatible products.
Where a spare part is used to repair or modify a product, this warranty does not extend to other parts of the product unless required by law.
6. Reporting Cosmetic or Delivery Issues
Any cosmetic issue, transit damage, missing part, or incorrect item must be reported to Sailvvay UK as soon as possible after delivery.
Failure to report cosmetic or delivery-related issues promptly may result in the claim being refused where it is no longer possible to verify the issue at the point of delivery.
7. How to Make a Warranty Claim
Before returning anything, customers must contact Sailvvay UK first at sales@sailvvay.co.uk.
Customers must not send products back without prior contact and claim approval instructions.
To make a warranty claim, customers must provide:
- full name
- order number or proof of purchase
- current contact details
- clear description of the fault
- photographs of the product and fault
- video evidence where requested or where relevant to the issue
We may ask customers to carry out basic checks, troubleshooting steps, or provide additional evidence before a claim is assessed.
Products returned without sufficient identifying information may be delayed or refused.
8. Inspection and Assessment
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and assessment by Sailvvay UK.
If, after inspection, the product is found not to have a manufacturing defect, or the issue is found to fall outside this Warranty Policy, the claim may be rejected.
If no fault is found, or if the fault is excluded from warranty cover, Sailvvay UK may require the customer to pay the cost of return shipping before the item is sent back.
9. Shipping Costs for Warranty Claims
Where the law requires Sailvvay UK to provide a repair or replacement for faulty goods, the necessary costs of that remedy, including postage, must be borne by Sailvvay UK.
Where a customer is making a claim under this warranty and the claim has not yet been verified, Sailvvay UK may ask the customer to contact us first, provide evidence, and follow our returns instructions before any return is authorised.
If a warranty claim is accepted as valid, Sailvvay UK will meet any costs we are legally required to bear. If a claim is rejected, no fault is found, or the issue falls outside warranty cover, the customer may be responsible for the cost of returning the item to them.
10. Repaired and Replacement Products
Any repaired or replacement product supplied under this Warranty Policy may be new, refurbished, or reconditioned.
A repair, replacement, or part supplied under warranty does not restart the original warranty period unless required by law. The original warranty period continues from the original delivery date.
11. Exclusions Required by Law
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude or restrict liability for:
- faulty goods where exclusion is not permitted by law
- death or personal injury caused by negligence
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited
12. Statutory Rights
This Warranty Policy is provided in addition to your statutory rights. Customers in the UK may have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that apply whether or not a warranty is offered and whether or not the warranty period has expired.
